The Rijsketić wedding ceremony and reception will occur at the Ryskamp family cabin near Driggs, Idaho. Never heard of Driggs? That's because it's a tiny town, even by Idaho standards. We think the Tetons are worth traveling for!
How do I get to (BFE) Idaho?
-
The short answer is: Fly, then drive!
-
The nearest airport to Driggs is IDA in Idaho Falls, ID (~1h 30 min drive to Driggs)
-
Get a glimpse of Dan's hometown (because a glimpse is all you need!). This is a small airport and it would minimize driving.
-
For a fast, flat, straight route through farmland (1 h 13 min), drive northeast on US-20 to exit 339 and head east on ID-33.
-
For a scenic route with some twists and turns (1 h 37 min), drive east on US-26, northeast on ID-31, north on ID-33.
-
-
The most common airport we use is the SLC International Airport (SLC) in Salt Lake City, UT (4h 30 min). The drive is longer, but SLC may offer the cheapest airfare.
-
Enjoy the scene in Salt Lake City, and then pass the time with an audiobook as you pass through Pocatello and Idaho Falls. For food in Pocatello we strongly recommend sushi at Sumisu, which is run by our good friend Daniel Russo.
-
Drive north on I-15 to exit 119. Drive northeast on US-20 to exit 339. Drive east on ID-33
-
-
Another nearby airport is JAC in Jackson, WY (1h 45 min drive to Driggs)
-
This is a very small and expensive airport, and Jackson Hole is well-known as a resort town. Get a 270 view of the Tetons as you drive from the Wyoming side to the Idaho side of our favorite mountains.
-
! Warning: This road is windy and steep (cuz mountains), but should be free of snow in September. You'll want to downshift so you don't wear out your rental car brakes.
-
Drive south on US-191. Drive west on WY-22. Continue north on ID-33 W.
-
-
Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) in Bozeman, MT is another option (3h 30 min drive to Driggs)
-
It's larger than JAC, but is still relatively remote. The drive would take you through Targhee National Forest and near Yellowstone National Park. It is very scenic. Watch out for animals (deer, moose, bear) on the road!
-
Drive south on US-191. Then turn right onto US-20 southwest, left onto ID-47 N/Main, right onto ID-32, and left onto ID-33 E.
-
-
Note for all: In Idaho (and surrounding states), every season is road construction season, so be prepared for a little extra travel time.
How do I get to the Ryskamp Cabin?

We recommend using Google Maps to get from your lodging to the Ryskamp Cabin.
The address is: 5370 Rancheros Loop Tetonia, ID 83452
Most folks will be coming from Hwy 33 --> 5000 N --> Rancheros Loop
Please plan for extra time for 1) getting lost and 2) parking and walking
Where can I stay while I'm there?
We highly recommend that you book in advance, as "good options" might fill up quickly.
Tent or RV camping is not available at the cabin 9/12/19 - 9/15/19.
We have used AirBnB several times and have had mostly excellent experiences. At a glance, there are many nice AirBnB or VRBO options in the area. Consider sharing a whole house with family or friends who are also attending our wedding.
*If there is a high likelihood that you will be 1) really drunk and 2) staying really late into the night at our wedding, we have also reserved a "hangover house" for 9/13/19 - 9/15/19 within walking distance of the cabin that sleeps ~17 (possibly more with borrowed thermarests and sleeping bags). Please contact Dan & Jade directly if you're interested. Total price after tax and fees is $1,771, which will be divided by the number of occupants. Refer to the parking map below for the location. Click here to see the listing and photos of the place.
*Also, our next-door neighbor and friend, Basil, offers 3 mini-cabins and a dome (attached to house), each with private entry. Each one sleeps 2 people (full or queen bed). Not good for small children. Communal bathroom & shower for Basil's occupants only (not other wedding guests). Let Dan & Jade know if you're interested in this prime location. Note: "The neighbors" are having a raging party on 9/14, so you might hear them from across the property, but earplugs would probably do the trick (or if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!).
-
Large cabin $75 + cleaning fee
-
Dome $60 + cleaning fee
-
Middle cabin $50 + cleaning fee
-
Small cabin $40 + cleaning fee
